Stainless steel is the metal of choice used for a wide variety of applications from cookware to production and car manufacturing.
Stainless steel was accidentally discovered in 1913 by Harry Brearley, who was working on a project to improve rifle barrels. He discovered that by adding chromium to carbon steel, it provided it with stain resistance.

What Is Stainless Steel?

Stainless steel is strong, robust, durable and corrosion-resistant. This makes it the ideal material for the automotive and aerospace industries as well as in the production of cookware and medical instrumentation.

Stainless steel is made with a minimum of 10.5% chromium, which provides its corrosion-resistance properties. It reacts with the oxygen in the air surrounding us, providing a thin transparent protective layer.

Iron and other elements such as carbon, nickel and manganese form the remainder of this metal alloy.

There are many varieties of stainless steel, including austenitic, ferritic, martensitic and duplex.

Stainless steel is so strong that it is commonly found in engineering, bridge building and in the construction of buildings and infrastructure. It is very easy to maintain and has a long life span, and it is also quite easily recyclable, making it the eco-friendly choice. It is non-toxic, meaning that chemicals and other substances do not leach out, making it a safe and hygienic choice for food handling.

Bending Machines

A bending machine is the equipment used to bend and shape stainless steel workpieces. It can also be used with other types of sheet metals. A clamping device is used to hold the sheet in place during the process. Bending machines are available in different models, such as the hydraulic press brake bending machine, which is ideal for its load-bearing capacity, speed and accuracy.
